    Video Session: in this call we will get to know each other- you can tell Dave your story, your current challenges, and how you want to present yourself in the next stage of your life. We will talk through the different photo experiences available and find the most suitable for you.

    Confirm your photo experience session booking

  • STEP 4

    Photo Experience Day: Meet Dave in Volkshotel, and once in the studio sip your delicious coffee whilst receiving your hair and make-up styling. Step in front of the camera in the studio, reviewing results as we go.

    Somehow contain your excitement until you receive your online preview gallery within 3 days of the session. Choose final photos.

  • STEP 6

    Receive finalised photos and post your favourites online (tagging Dave)

  • It’s often said that in life we remember how someone treated us, how we felt when we did something. That’s why I’ve designed a headshot experience that will help you enjoy being photographed and will get you the high quality photos you want! Look at it this way - the quality of our interaction will lead to the quality of the resulting headshots. It’s all one. That’s exactly why we take our time (trust me, it goes quickly!) and take plenty of photos - it helps to produce the best results and a great experience. Both of which will stay with you for a long time. A super quick interaction is not the shortcut you might hope it would be- with no time to acclimatise and relax, it’s very unlikely to either enjoy yourself or achieve a good variety of results.

  • The goal of having a hair and make-up stylist get you ready for a photo session is to help you look your natural best. Most women and men these days ask for a natural look which is definitely an art, putting the art in make-up artist! 100% of people enjoy the experience and attention, and the resulting photos are better every single time. A healthy, cared-for you is what we want to see. What we absolutely will not do is to change your appearance so dramatically that no-one will be able to recognise you. So don’t be afraid- I hear you desire to look natural, and we got you covered!

  • This is the perfect question to be asking yourself. Self-reflection and awareness is one of the best practices you can do in life!

    If you are unsure of who you are at the moment, then I would love to hear more about that. I’m all ears. It is perfectly fine to not know, and to have gentle grace with yourself. Life is intense and we are all constantly changing from the inside, and often in response to external events. That is all completely fine.

  • On several occasions I have photographed people who actively tried to hide, whilst standing right in front of me and my camera. I understand that receiving attention is not comfortable for everyone, and if that’s the case for you, you can feel amongst friends because that’s actually how most of us feel! During your photo session, I will be your cheerleader, question-poser, conversation partner, and co-creator. I will encourage you to take up a bit more space, whilst still being yourself, prompting and guiding you, and giving you natural poses that boost your confidence. This is genuinely why I love to photograph humans - we are all different and that’s beautiful. You have permission to fully own your story, all of it!

  • This is the case for lots of people but don't worry about it! This is a relaxed headshot session with no time pressure. We will sip some coffee and start shooting when we are ready, stress-free. I have built my whole approach to photographing people around the fact that you need to feel comfortable, relaxed and listened to in order to be able to be yourself in front of the camera. So relax, you’re in safe hands with me!

  • Fantastic question! In our first call we will dive into what your intention is for your headshot session, and what colours and styles suit you best. I’ll help you pick out and bring a range of outfits that will bring out the best in your complexion and personality.

  • I will select the best photos from the session to show you in an online viewing gallery- consider these your digital negatives. These will be edited into a consistent set so you can see pretty closely what the final results will look like. From this gallery you will make your choices of which photos will be given the finishing touches - this selection will be retouched and cared for me and released to you once fully ready. As the viewing gallery is only for viewing and choosing from, it will not be available for download.

  • I really love natural looking headshots. I love real people with real faces. I want you to look like you! And I do hear you. I hear the deep desire to look your best, and to look how you used to when you were younger. The benefit of a headshot session with me is that I will use amazing lighting, styling and posing to help you look your best. When I edit, I will colour grade, subtly remove minor blemishes and stray hairs but I'm not in the business of making you look like someone else. Remember that your headshot is your online calling card, so it’s best that you and your photo are consistent!
